New Year, New Crochet, New Site!

Happy New Years to all of my fellow hookers!! 2017 was a fabulous year for crocheting, and I am even more excited to see what 2018 has in store! For those that know me (personally or online), I tend to have a hard time staying on track, and despite the best of intentions, I end up with a bunch of WIP's or half completed projects. My business partner, Sara (Croch-Eh Patch) deserves a gold medal (and probably a few dozen glasses of wine) for dealing with my scatter brain. Seriously, I am having a good day if I remember to put on pants before I head out the door.

"NOT THIS YEAR!" I proclaimed incredibly loudly.... in caps...on my keyboard.

But let me explain why:

Last year brought a lot of hardships in my personal life, but throughout it all, Holly's Hobbies continued to flourish and grew into something I could have never dreamed of. I think one of my biggest obstacles was coming to terms with the fact that HH had turned into a legitimate business and I had to put on my big girl panties and start treating it like that. I was able to live in a bubble of denial last year, that no one really cared if I released patterns (on time or at all), if I ever released any video tutorials, or if I ever posted another Facebook update. But you wonderful, amazing hookers, helped pop that bubble, and now it's time for me to dive into this head first.

One of my biggest plans last year was to start a Crochet Blog, but it kept getting put on the back burner time and again, and this year, I am making it one of my top priorities.

What can you expect to find on this blog, you ask? *Free Patterns & Crochet DIY tutorials *Product Reviews on Crochet and Crafty related products *Monthly Feature Friday where I feature one kick-ass pattern I've found online, and I'm hoping to have whipped it up in time for the post! *Crochet Video Tutorials (I have one lowly YouTube video uploaded right now, there will be much more in the coming months)

*Tips and Tricks I've picked up along the way, from learning how to crochet, starting your own business, to designing your own patterns! (I promise, it's not nearly as hard as you think!)

I'm aiming to have a blog post up weekly, and the link will always be posted on myFacebook page. If you have anything YOU want to see, leave me a comment and I'll try and incorporate it into a future post or pattern! So bear with me, I promise I have many amazing, super awesome things coming your way in 2018!!

Lots of Hooks & Love, Holly
